It goes against any conceivable logic to think that these project releases can and should be a free rip, because if our content is ripped and consumed for free, there will be no possible way to sustain the on-going production of the series of releases.
We are not a big conglomerate holding company, nor are we a big-wig record company with private jets and limos (are there any even left?). We are and represent a consortium of independent artists and music composers.
If you rip our work for free, it does nothing to support our efforts here. So we’ll state our position here and now – you DO NOT have our permission to rip our work for free. And just because technology might allow you to do so doesn’t make it right. And if stating our position it isn’t enough to deter, let us appeal to your conscience:
It is our feeling that if you rip our work, it subconsciously becomes value-less in your mind, and therefore you’re less likely to enjoy it. And, if you rip for free, our Artists won’t have the financial support they need for paint, brushes or canvas, our Composers won’t have the financial support they need to pay for arrangers or performing musicians, and our Technologists won’t have the financial support they need to obtain the computers, updates and memory chips they need to produce the Fluid Stills® for you to enjoy.
We work hard to produce exceptional content – with the marriage of art, music and technology – and we understand our work exists in a purely digital environment, so PLEASE, we ask you to support our ability to deliver more works to market by purchasing our DVDs through Amazon.com links on our Home Page.
Free is not a sustainable business model.
